Marilu Valente is an award-winning designer and product manager focusing on merging design and sustainability.
She has over 10 years experience using digital tools to turn disruptive ideas into reality.
Using rapid prototyping tools, such as 3D printing she can quickly test ideas.
Marilu follows an agile framework to ideate, test and validate products. In addition to her technical product development skills, she is an entrepreneur, having launched 2 products to the market: a collection system for waste and a refillable packaging system for the personal care martket.
At the same time, she works as a freelance digital product developer for several clients, from startups (e.g Fiils, Docyet, Leaftech) to large corporates such as Henkel and Aldi Nord.
In her design approach, she thinks in a circular way, analysing the entire lifecycle of the product, with the aim of minimising waste.
